Thomas N. Thompson, M.D, Ph.D

I was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey, where my father was a professor of English. Early in college I contemplated a career in medicine, although after my father passed away, I thought that deep space spectroscopy would be more interesting. I subsequently turned back towards medicine and eventually chose a career in radiology, largely due to MRI and physics involved within it. I completed medical school and residency at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital and began practicing as a radiologist in 1990. I am a Board Certified Radiologist with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Neuroradiology. I have been an active practitioner in interventional radiology since 1994. I have practiced here, in Geneva, since January of 2000 and consider Geneva my home.
